Hello everyone

As you may have noticed, the January/February newsletter never materialised as things have been very busy since just after the New Year. This means I'm probably the last person to say I hope you all had a good Christmas & a Happy New Year!

I have just come back from another advanced Bodytalk course. This one took a detailed look at our 5 senses; how our beliefs & attitudes are formed & how they affect our bodies & our health; & concepts such as consciousness, space/time, guilt, feeling separate, our true nature, the masks we wear, our habitual thinking patterns, etc. It was fascinating to see the significant health changes that occur when these issues come up in a session & are tapped out.
It was also a reminder of how the main concepts in Bodytalk are identical to those that underpin the Metamorphic Technique.

Case Studies and testimonials


S.N. - S. came to try Bodytalk out of curiosity, having been given a gift voucher by a friend. 'I didn't fill in the health details on the form as I thought of myself as having no health problems, other than headaches. The session was so interesting as the things Etty mentioned were exactly right, things she could never have known. It was quite spooky for example when she asked about a farm that was significant during my teens. Well we lived on a farm, I hated it, for 6 years when I was a teenager. K.L. - "I've been having Metamorphic Technique, once a month for 6 months now. I know I'm not the same person I was then. I usually chat a lot in the sessions & was worried it would stop it working, but Etty said it's best to do what comes naturally. 2 years ago I lost my job & had other problems that had made me feel very cynical with everyone & everything. Since starting the Metamorphic Technique, I've gradually gone back to being how I was before my problems, things feel better & easier. I'm more happy go lucky, more going with the flow & people are easier to get on with. I still don't know how it works but I'm really happy about it!".

Meditation and Relaxation – The Meditation and Relaxation courses I mentioned in the last newsletter went very well & there is a new one starting in Sunningdale at Charters Adult Education Centre on 28th April. If you're interested in learning simple yet powerful relaxation and meditation techniques (some you can do in 1 or 2 minutes), and enjoying blissful guided meditations, please contact me. You can either join the Sunningdale course or I can teach one-to-one or in small groups.

Massage – Remember I offer a number of wonderful massage techniques including Swedish massage, Reflexology, Head Neck and Shoulder massage and Chinese therapeutic massage of the feet and lower legs.

Learning the Metamorphic Technique - ideal for parents - I run short workshops in small groups which provide an easy way to learn the technique to perform on yourself or your friends and family (they do not qualify you to become a practitioner).

A very good friend of mine, who happens to be a dog, has just had 5 adorable puppies, which prompted me to send this thought:

If dogs were our teachers…

If dogs were our teachers, we would learn things like:

When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
Take naps.
Stretch before rising.
Run, romp, and play daily.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.
Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you're not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
Live simply.
Love generously.
